The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M. P. O'Connor rode Radiator Springs (reserve) trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 6)

378B Sean Kelly Naas Member H'cap S'chase

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Quinn The Eskimo (GER), trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a few false strides and was pulled up but was subsequently sound.

378C The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Academy H'dle

Owing to the low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdles number one and two to be omitted from this race

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Richard Morrissey, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of It's Bobsled Time (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Luke Murphy, Authorised Representative for the trainer concerned, stated that they were unable to account for the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of I'm All In, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the last hurdle.

378D BAR 1 Betting Merry Christmas M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bergamasquo (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D. Robinson, rider of Coolboy Christy, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped slowly throughout.

378E BAR 1 Casino M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Galavanting George, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh and trained by Gavin Cromwell. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his instructions were to jump off behind half way and ride his mount to run as well as he could. He added that he expected his mount to come home better but he became very unbalanced on today's ground. Gavin Cromwell confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Galavanting George was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given. Mr M. C. Hickey recused himself from this enquiry.

A. Leahy, rider of Beara Beauty, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

378G John Thomas McNamara Series (QR) Hcp Hdl

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr F.P. Murphy, rider of Party President, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr F. P. Murphy was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) they suspended Mr F. P. Murphy for two racedays.

Mr S. Connor, rider of Bryson, trained by W.R. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered a little interference after the last hurdle. After watching a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Michael Winters, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of River Vale, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Michael Winters stated that his charge did not act on very testing conditions at Cork last time out. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

378H Irish EBF Auction (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr A.P. Ryan, rider of Tiktok Casey, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr A. P. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr A. P. Ryan for two racedays.
